The Civic Si coupe returns. Honda shows off its sleek and sexy Si concept


Our first album short, in 2006 Honda Civic Si has left us with a very positive impression, and last week the car at the headquarters of CNET did nothing to change that. Praise for the rev-happy engine and slick transmission was universal, and everyone who drove the Si came out smiling.
The previous generation Honda Civic Si was a great disappointment to the faithful himself, without running and agility that had defined the earlier versions. This eighth iteration is heavier and bigger than the car it replaces, but it is significantly faster, making it more comfortable and inspiring at the wheel.

 There was a time when any serious discussion of “hot hatches” – small cars, light economy pumped full of go fast parts and body modifications of questionable taste – always included the Honda Civic Si Back in the day, Si D16Z6 engines that routinely do battle with the Volkswagen GTI and Nissan Sentra SE-R for supremacy import tuner. Times, however, change. These days, the battle for supremacy begins hot hatch and essentially ends with turbo beasties as the Mitsubishi Evolution and Subaru WRX / STI, with a pinch or Mini Cooper S MazdaSpeed3 played in flavor.
